A “relaxed” and “qi full” group working together to improve our wellbeing.  We are of mixed abilities so please come and join us.

Qi is the Chinese word for “life energy”.  Gong means “work” or “practice”.  Qigong thus means working with the life energy, learning how to use the qi within the body to improve the health and harmony of mind and body through practice.

Qigong is a wholistic system of self-healing movements, healing posture, breathing techniques and meditation.

It is an enjoyable form of exercise, using gentle movements, Qigong will help to improve circulation and mobility for all.  Our core practice is based on the Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi form which is accessible for the less mobile as it can also be practiced whilst sitting.

The group is supported by Janette who has been a student of Tai Chi since 2012 and has studied Qigong for over two years.  “Practicing Tai Chi  Qigong has given me an inner strength to help deal with the complexities of life and the stresses of the world around us.  It has also given me bodily strength, improving my stamina and increasing my flexibly.  I really enjoy teaching Qigong to others for their health and happiness”.

As we progress we will explore other forms of Qigong which are beneficial to our health, consider nutrition and also study the history and philosophy of Qigong.
