Tuesday February 20th meeting:

The Battle of the Bottles

Our next meeting is another opportunity where members of the group will talk about wines that have made a big impression on them. The format will be much like our successful November meeting, though the theme in February will be comparisons between pairs of wines, with a bias to whites.

Five members will each compare or contrast two wines they know well, perhaps from the point of view of geography, or grape type, or wine making method, or oakiness or whatever. Six wines will be white and four red.

The tasting will be in our now-established Barber Rooms venue from 1400 to 1600 on Tuesday 20th February and will cost £10.50, slightly up from last time because our pricing then was rather too finely judged. Booking closes on Tuesday January 30th to give our presenters time to order in enough bottles.
