The Military History Group normally meets on the first Thursday of the month and we consider an eclectic range of topics. Of necessity our meetings have been on Zoom over the lockdown but we will be returning to face-to-face meetings next month.

Our next meeting will be on Thursday 2nd March at 10.30am back at Walnut Tree Cottage, 9A Stainswick Lane, Shrivenham SN6 8DU when John Varney will be talking about the Parliamentary General Monk who was responsible for the Restoration of Charles II. This follows on from this month’s talk on Oliver Cromwell by Bjorn.

We will be continuing in April and May with two talks by Alison Thomson on the History of the Royal Navy. There will be no talk in June but in July Peter Foot will be talking about Army Education.
